The Trocadéro Forum Institute (TFI) and our partners , The American Club of the Riviera (ACR) and the Centre Européen de Musique (CEM) came together to put on our first event at the AC Hotel Marriott in Nice, France .

First and foremost, we would like to thank our keynote speaker, the Honorable Mark Kennedy, who spoke to us about the critical topics of the day , in a well crafted speech, entitled “Geoeconomic Statecraft: Power Through Markets, Rules, and Infrastructure“ after which he engaged in a Q & A with the audience .

We would also like to warmly thank the interim President of the ACR, Shae Clements, and her members , who came out to hear Mark Kennedy speak and engaged with him in lively discussion , in the conference and afterwards .

Following the keynote speech , our sincere thanks goes to our discussants , panelists, Eve Tourny and Franck Paoli, who gave insights into the roots or reasons of the fractures in our society today .

To conclude the conference portion of our program, we are very grateful to dear Jorge Chaminé, who joined us online to deliver a powerful message about music and cultural diplomacy, the importance of listening and of democracy .

The conference ended with a slide presentation of the mission and essence of the Trocadéro Forum Institute (TFI) , by its president and founder Ellen Wasylina , followed by the signature of an MOU between TFI and the CEM , opening their cooperation in Music and Diplomacy and announcing the “parrain”/namesake of the first cohort of TFI’s MA in Sustainable Leadership & Diplomacy , Jorge Chaminé .

The conference was followed by cocktails and tapas on the rooftop of the AC Hotel Marriott , with discussions continuing overlooking La Baie des Anges.
